Kiss The Girl

I sometimes wish that I could lay my head on your chest forever…
wrapping my arms around you.
Your smell… Your hands touch my hair, neck, and shoulders…
I can hear your breath, feel your neck…
If I opened my eyes I can see the contoured line and shadows of your arm.
I follow the shadows up to your shoulder…
I get jealous of the shadows that lay across your flesh…
I miss you…
I need to kiss you…

  1. β€œI get jealous of the shadows that lay across your flesh…” Quite striking. I think that one line could make an entire poem worth reading just for it. It’s fresh, vivid, evocative.

    Thanks for sharing this poem.
